NFL GAME PREVIEW
London, with a different quarterback
The alarm-clock edition: Indianapolis–Washington at 9:30 a.m. ET. Taylor’s scoring role, Downs’ targets and the assumptions that change with Mariota.

The 60-second read
- IND -4.5 (-110) · London changes when you watch. Washington’s quarterback changes what you bet.
- Tyler Warren Under 56.5 receiving yards (-110)
These are editorial research leans at the quoted prices, not claims of a validated positive-EV model edge. Winner views are separate from bets. Overlapping game and player views can be correlated.
London changes when you watch. Washington’s quarterback changes what you bet.
Set the alarm, then reset the assumptions. Washington has Jayden Daniels ruled out. The Commanders’ season-long pace and efficiency describe an offense that is changing quarterbacks, so those averages cannot simply become Sunday’s forecast. Marcus Mariota is the replacement to evaluate, with Terry McLaurin’s questionable hamstring adding another decision before breakfast.
Keenan Allen is out, leaving Indianapolis to find its cleaner route to points through Jonathan Taylor near the goal line and Josh Downs on the first read. StatRankings credits Taylor with 12 red-zone carries, five inside the five, and 80% of the Colts’ running-back carries in the red zone. Downs has a 24.5% target share and 85.2% route participation. That gives us two different ways to play an Indianapolis lead rather than pretending every Colt benefits equally.
Washington’s 85% zone rate makes the underneath passing game worth examining, but Tyler Warren’s 1.7-yard average target depth matters here. A catch can be useful in DraftKings’ full-PPR scoring without producing a long gain. His receptions and receiving-yards markets are different decisions. The counterargument to Indianapolis is its own defense: 0.48 points allowed per play and only a 22.4% pressure rate in the Week 4 report. Mariota does not need a perfect afternoon to keep this competitive.
The players behind the read
Washington scenario: the numerical forecasts and lineup below assume McLaurin sits. He is officially questionable; if he plays, Washington’s target distribution needs a new projection.
| Player | Arcline forecast | DK points |
|---|---|---|
| Jonathan Taylor | 73.0 rush yds · 16.1 rec yds · 2.2 catches | 18.9 |
| Josh Downs | 105.7 rec yds · 8.3 catches | 25.9 |
| Tyler Warren | 30.5 rec yds · 4.1 catches | 12.8 |
| Marcus Mariota | 208.1 pass yds · 21.8 rush yds | 17.0 |
| Stefon Diggs | 54.8 rec yds · 4.5 catches | 17.6 |
Q = questionable on the official report; forecasts assume listed players play, with the London and Chicago scenarios noted above. Injury labels checked against official team reports. DK points come from Arcline’s separate DFS ensemble.

Tyler Warren Under 56.5 receiving yards (-110)
Washington’s heavy zone usage can leave catches available underneath, but Warren’s 1.7-yard average target depth asks him to do a lot after the catch to clear the posted yardage line. The forecast is 30.5. More targets or one broken tackle can beat this Under; it is a yardage view, not a claim that Warren disappears.
The Showdown construction
For a Colts passing script, use Daniel Jones with Downs, then compare Warren with a Washington return option after McLaurin’s status is settled. A Taylor Captain build tells a different story: Indianapolis finishes drives on the ground. It does not automatically need two Colts receivers. Do not put Daniels in either construction.
| Construction | Salary | DK points | Est. player ownership |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPT · Josh Downs | $13,200 | 38.9 | 9.1% |
| Daniel Jones | $10,400 | 15.1 | 54.0% |
| Marcus Mariota | $9,800 | 17.0 | 57.7% |
| Stefon Diggs | $8,400 | 17.6 | 38.3% |
| Antonio Williams | $3,800 | 9.3 | 10.8% |
| Austin Ekeler | $2,200 | 10.1 | 9.0% |
Illustrative six-player Showdown lineup · DraftKings slate 154085 · $47,800 used · $2,200 remaining. Ownership is a model estimate for this slate, not verified contest ownership or the ownership of the stack.
The two cheap Washington pieces are the fragile part of this example. Williams and Ekeler make the salary work, but check their active roles before copying it. Downs at Captain pairs with Jones; Mariota and Diggs give the lineup a path if Washington keeps throwing. Leaving $2,200 is a construction choice, not proof that the lineup is unique.
