Fifteen games on a Tuesday in August, and the pitchers ran the show. The moneyline card came up empty — not because we lost anything, but because nothing was officially staked on a side. Zero and zero. The totals board, though, went a clean 2-0, and both of them weren't close. Run environments were suppressed across a meaningful chunk of the slate, which is either a signal worth tracking or a beautiful coincidence. Probably a little of both.
The DFS slate had some genuine fireworks — a few performances that looked like someone left the scoring multiplier on — and a couple of projections that aged about as well as a milk carton left in a hot car. We'll get to all of it.
