CARD

Dodger Stadium Is Begging to Go Over Tonight

The model sees WSH @ LAD clearing nearly 12 points of over edge on a posted total of 8. The card is dark — no play clears the moneyline bar — but the DFS angles around that game and the Seattle stack are real.

THE READ

The sharpest signal on a 15-game Saturday isn't a side — it's a total. The model puts WSH @ LAD at 10.5 combined runs against a posted line of 8.0, a gap of 2.5 runs that translates to 11.6 points of over edge. That's a meaningful disagreement. The park helps explain it: Dodger Stadium sits at 81 degrees tonight with a slight wind out, bumping both the HR and runs factors above neutral. Against Cade Cavalli, the model expects the Dodger lineup to do significant damage. The other notable lean runs in the opposite direction: NYY @ SD sits at a model total of 7.7 against a posted 8.0, generating 11.9 points of under edge. Two totals, opposite directions, both clearing the tracking bar. No moneyline edge surfaced today.

MODEL vs MARKET

No moneyline edges cleared the five-point bar today. The totals tell the day's story.

  • NYY @ SD — Under 8.0 | Model total: 7.7 | Model over %: 37% | Edge: 11.9 points of under edge. This is a tracked lean, not a staked play.
  • WSH @ LAD — Over 8.0 | Model total: 10.5 | Model over %: 59.9% | Edge: 11.6 points of over edge. Also a tracked lean.

Both cleared the 10-point bar that earns a spot on the tracking board. Neither made the card — see the next section for why.

THE CARD

The card is dark today. No qualifying edge sized past the minimum for an official staked play, so nothing is on the card Saturday.

The two totals leans above — NYY @ SD under and WSH @ LAD over — are tracked on the board. They are not plays. No money is implied on either. We think of a no-play day the same way a sharp lineup manager thinks of a day off the bench: the discipline to skip a game where the edge isn't clean enough is part of the long-term process, not a failure of nerve.

DFS CORE

All 144 hitters are still projected — lineups haven't posted yet as of publication. Every name below should be treated as a projection, not a confirmed starter. Check lineups before lock.

The clearest value cluster is in Seattle against Jeffrey Springs. Weston Wilson, Brendan Donovan, and Josh Naylor all land at or above 2.5 value per $1K at salaries between $2,700 and $3,400, and the SEA stack ceiling of 77 points justifies concentration there. On the Dodger side, Hunter Feduccia at $2,300 is the cheapest floor play on the board — 1.3 floor with a 13.3 ceiling in a game the model expects to score heavily. Shohei Ohtani leads the GPP ceiling list at 20.7 projected ceiling against Cavalli; the price is high, but this game environment earns the exposure.

On the mound, George Kirby is the standout: $8,400, 24.0 projected points, 9.7 expected strikeouts, and a 61.2% win probability against Oakland. He's the safest pitcher build on the slate. Tyler Glasnow at $10,500 costs more and projects a touch lower (18.9), but sits in the highest-ceiling game on the board — the tradeoff is game environment versus individual efficiency.

THE STACK

Two stacks are worth building around on Saturday.

Stacks to target — total projected points (Env = park × weather)
StackBatsProj ptsCeilingSalaryEnv
SEA vs OAK437.977.0$18.2K0.90×
LAD vs WSH435.171.5$19.8K1.20×
STL vs COL433.668.7$21.7K1.30×
KC vs TOR431.467.9$19.6K1.10×
COL vs STL431.067.0$20.1K1.30×

SEA vs OAK is the efficiency leader: 37.9 projected points from four bats at $18,200, a ceiling of 77, and an environment factor of 0.9 — neutral enough that the upside comes from the matchup itself rather than the park. Springs isn't a stopper, and the Mariners have the lineup depth to punish him at multiple spots. The value layer (Wilson, Donovan, Naylor) makes this stack buildable without gutting the rest of the lineup.

LAD vs WSH is the higher-environment play: a 1.2 run factor, 71.5 ceiling, and the model's biggest total disagreement of the day backing the over. At $19,800 for four bats, it costs $1,600 more than the Seattle core, but you're getting Ohtani's ceiling exposure and a game script the model expects to run. The STL vs COL stack carries a 1.3 environment factor — Coors is Coors — and a 68.7 ceiling, which keeps it in conversation for tournaments, especially with Hunter Goodman's 18.0 ceiling on the COL side. The optimizer's featured build pairs a SEA 4-stack with a MIN 3-stack at $48,600, projecting 102.5 points with a cash projection of 108.3.

SHOWDOWN

Tonight's showdown slate is STL @ COL, locking at 8:10 PM ET. One rule to know: the captain scores and costs 1.5× the listed salary. You pay more; you need a big game to justify it.

Captain

Matthew Liberatore (STL, P) at a captain salary of $15,600. His captain-slot ceiling is 37.5 points — that's 1.6 per $1K at the captain price — which is the number that matters here. The floor is -0.7, so this is a ceiling-chasing spot, not a safety play. In a Coors environment with a 1.3 run factor, a Cardinals starter going deep is exactly the kind of contrarian tournament build that can separate a lineup.

Flex

  • Ezequiel Tovar (COL, SS) — $4,200, 6.2 projected, 14.2 ceiling. 1.5 per $1K. The cheapest path to Coors upside on the offensive side.
  • Mason Adams (COL, P) — $9,800, 11.9 projected, 23.2 ceiling. 1.2 per $1K. More expensive but carries genuine ceiling if he's sharp at home.

Trap

Jordan Walker (STL, OF) at $10,200 is the name to avoid. The model projects 8.1 points — 0.8 per $1K — which is the weakest projection-per-dollar in his salary tier. The model is below the price, meaningfully so. There will be lineups built around Walker's name recognition. That's the trap.

WEATHER & PARKS

Six games have material weather conditions worth noting on Saturday.

Weather that moves the run environment
GameParkWindHR×Runs×
MIL @ CINCIN6 mph crossing to RF1.30×1.10×
ARI @ HOUHOU6 mph out to CF1.30×1.10×
MIN @ CHWCHW13 mph crossing to RF1.20×1.10×
WSH @ LADLAD7 mph crossing to RF1.20×1.10×
CHC @ MIAMIA7 mph crossing to LF1.10×1.10×
LAA @ PITPIT5 mph crossing to RF1.10×1.10×

The two parks most worth flagging are Cincinnati and Houston. Great American Ball Park comes in at 89 degrees with a 1.3 HR factor and a 1.1 runs factor — the crossing wind to RF and the heat combine for the kind of conditions that turn line drives into home runs. MIL @ CIN is worth keeping on the radar for tournament tournaments even without a tracked edge. Minute Maid Park is projected to play with the roof likely open, 83 degrees, and wind out to CF at 5.3 mph — same 1.3 HR factor. ARI @ HOU in those conditions is a game to watch for stacking if the roof decision holds.

Dodger Stadium's 1.2 HR factor and 81-degree evening conditions are already baked into the WSH @ LAD model total of 10.5. The park isn't an afterthought here — it's part of why the model landed that far above the line.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Two angles stand above the rest on Saturday.

  1. WSH @ LAD over 8.0 is the model's highest-conviction total lean of the day — 11.6 points of edge in a park and conditions that support it. It didn't make the card, but it's the strongest directional signal on the slate and the right game to build DFS exposure around.
  2. George Kirby is the anchor of the DFS slate. At $8,400 with a 24.0 projection, nearly 10 expected strikeouts, and a 61% win probability against Oakland, he's the closest thing to a must-roster arm in a high-variance 15-game field.
